NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2014

Welcome back, I trust you have all enjoyed the summer break.

Exciting news for CTS as of this term I am delighted to announce that Miss Lisa and Miss Sophie are now Junior partners in the school. This will not affect the day to day running of the school with Miss Jacquie and Miss Amanda continuing to play their valuable and much appreciated part. However as well as bringing new and emotive ideas to the school I feel confident this partnership will secure the future of the school for years to come.

Open Day 2014 was an amazing success raising£4,540 for Francis house. We had a much depleted entry at the Manchester I.D.T.A Festival making it impossible to compete for the school trophy, but individual results were excellent. Once again examination results were 100% successful with congratulations going to Luke Bishop, Anna Keevil and Lily Smith on receiving nominations for the IDTA Theatre Awards. They join 17 nominations from the June Examinations.

RAD Examination Success to Clementine Borthwick and Georgia Taylor for Inter Foundation.

Amanda Davis, Imogen Waldron, Imani McIntosh and Elsa Vaccari for Intermediate.

Emma Cornish Emily Gardiner for Advanced 1.  Having gained distinction Emily qualifies to enter the prestigious Phyllis Bedells Scholarships.

.

Further congratulations to Mary Wardell on gaining a place on the Northern Cecchetti Course. Mia Ryder, Lily Smith and Robert Smith on gaining a place on the Northern Ballet associate course. Chloe Radford and Amelia Statham on successfully auditioning for parts in Gypsy to be staged at the Garrick Theatre Altrincham. Amanda Davis on having gained a place on the Junior England Tap Team

Unfortunately I was away and missed The Manchester Stage Production performance of Flashdance this was a huge success with former student Bethan Harrop and Michael Gardiner gaining rave revues and also featured Amanda Davis and Emily Gardiner
